The mission was conducted as part of the International Associated Laboratory "Sciences, Environment, Societies, and Mining Activity" (LIA SESAM) in the Midelt province, specifically targeting the former mining sites of Mibladen and Ahouliy. The mission was carried out from June 5th to June 23rd, 2023, in Mibladen and Ahouliy.
The aim of the mission was to evaluate the environmental, social, and natural aspects of the communities residing in Mibladen and Ahouliy. The study's objective was to examine how a community can adjust to the cessation of mining activities and develop economic solutions for revitalizing mining towns.
A field survey of miners, as well as women from Ahouli and Mibladen, produced more than 200 questionnaires.
